Walk? But we can run.
Jump? But we can fly.
Learn? But we can think.
Why make our brains shrink?
We have so many possibilities available to us,
All it take is a little rush
Of blood within our veins
For us to take back our life’s reins.
A word. A spark. To set off the fire
Within the belly of desire.
That grows into a roaring flame,
Decimating our weakness and our shame.
But alas, with heads down and minds closed
We would be lucky to our humanity composed.
This is just a little poem I put together. It doesn’t really follow a specific formula or rhyme scheme, though it has a bit of one. It was just something that I had in my heart that I decided to put down on here. Have a great weekend!
