LOVE POEM #16 – NICKNAMES

She put a kiss upon my lips

That was like electricity from the tips

Of a bolt of lightning

It was so very frightening

Not the kiss itself

But what it meant to me

I cherished it like a flower to a bee,

An idea to sustain my health.

So when indeed she went away,

And told me that she would not play,

Of me, a pain was born on that day,

Haunted by the nickname “bae.”
